Entry to Argentina with a People's Republic of China passport for tourism/business without a visa

 

Art. 1: Entry without an Argentine consular visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE) is hereby authorized for foreign nationals of the PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA [...], holders of ordinary passports, when they present a valid visa for entry to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA corresponding to a similar immigration category. [...]

 

In the case of nationals of the PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, the immigration subcategories of Article 24 of Law No. 25,871, paragraph a) "tourists" and h) Provision No. 1171/10 "businessmen" will be included in the aforementioned benefit, with a maximum authorized stay of up to THIRTY (30) days.

 

Those who do not fall within the provisions of the preceding paragraphs must apply for visa at the Argentina consular offices.

 

Art. 2: Beneficiaries of this measure may not request a change of immigration category. Furthermore, the authorized stay may be extended once for a similar period, subject to evaluation by the NATIONAL DIRECTORATE OF MIGRATION (DIRECCIÓN NACIONAL DE MIGRACIONES).
