Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE)

The "Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE)" is issued directly by the National Directorate for Migration of the Republic of Argentina. Please visit this web for further information and application.

IMPORTANT NOTES

- The "Travel Authorization Fee" proof of payment does not authorize entry into Argentina. Only the corresponding "Electronic Travel Authorization" (AVE) is valid for entry, which you must print and carry with you before boarding your flight. Please clic here for examples of both.

- Applicants must wait for the e-mail informing of the approval or rejection of the AVE.

- The processing time is usually around 20 working days.

- Travellers should apply online by themselves, the Consulate General is not authorized / will not assist you in  the application.

- If your Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE) is denied, you can apply at the Consulate General for a regular visa (visa fee applies separately). Please visit this link for information about the visa application process.

- As of January 27th 2020, valid Schengen Visa holders are no longer eligible to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE).
