Holders of Taiwanese passports who wish to travel to Argentina must apply for a travel certificate. To begin the application process, please send an email to chong@mrecic.gob.ar with the following documentation:

Requirements

• Visa application form (attached below)
• Proof of employment: A letter from the employer endorsed by a bank, the Human Resources Department, or accompanied by a commercial registration.
• For tourism:
  • Proof of financial solvency.
  • Flight reservations for the entire trip.
  • Hotel or accommodation reservations for the entire trip.
• For business / scientific / professional / technical activities / trade fairs, congresses, and exhibitions:
  • An original letter of invitation by the inviting company in Argentina, duly notarized and legalized by the Notarial Association (Colegio de Escribanos) in the Argentine Republic. The Argentine company must include in the letter its registration number in the Register of Foreign Applicants (RENURE). For further details, please visit this website.
• Original and photocopy of passport and local identification card.
• Copies of visas from other countries (if applicable).
• Two photographs with a white background (size 4 x 4 cm).

 

Medical insurance

It is recommended to obtain medical insurance, as the immigration officer may request it upon entry into the country. See Executive Decree No. 366/2025, published on May 29, 2025, Article 9.
