To make an appointment please write to chong@mrecic.gov.ar

attaching a copy of your DNI and current passport.

The Consulate is directly connected to the network of the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER). This allows our office to process requests for National Identity Documents (DNI) and ordinary passports with ten years duration.

Both procedures begin with the in-person digital data capture (photo, signature, fingerprints), which is sent to RENAPER in Buenos Aires. The documents are printed in Argentina and then sent to Hong Kong by postal mail, arriving -usually- after 60 working days.

The processing fee is HKD $1.404 and it can be settled by cash for bank deposit or online bank transfer (except for cash, credit cards and electronic payments, you have to bear the bank service fee) .

Requisites:

  • The person must reside in Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR and come to the Consulate in-person with a previously agreed appointment. Must show valid local identity card, visa of study/work/ spouse.
  • The National Identity Document (DNI) must be presented, duly updated.
  • The original passport must be presented. Otherwise, proof of theft or loss issued by local police.
  • Photocopies of all the documentation.
  • In-person, the office will take your digital data capture (photo, signature, fingerprints).

Minors under 18 years old must come with their parents and also present:

  • Original birth certificate ("partida de nacimiento" exclusively).
  • Original National Identity Document (DNI) of both parents and valid, those without DNI present a valid documentation, or legal authorization for any parent that is not present.
