The invitation letter is required in two cases:

1) when a foreign national plans to travel to Argentina for tourism purposes and to stay at the private residence of an Argentinian citizen;

2) when a foreign national plans to travel to Argentina for business, to assist to conferences or exhibitions, or to engage in other technical or professional activities.

The invitation letter may be processed online through the dedicated platform Tramites a Distancia (TAD), or in paper duly legalized by a public notary in Argentina.
